There are two bed and breakfast rooms and both have double beds and en-suite bathrooms. They
occupy the space between the old farmhouse (now the holiday cottage) and the newer farmhouse. The
one shown on this page is the upper room we call 'the loft', the other is shown under disabled facilities.
Like the holiday cottage the bed and breakfast rooms are finished to a high standard with colour TV's
and beverage facilities, ample wardrobe space and a built-in dressing table with drawers. The rooms
are centrally heated and the bathrooms have ample hot water.
Both bed and breakfast rooms share the quiet lounge, which is located in the main farmhouse, here
guests can relax thumbing through a book by the cosy heating stove or plan the next days activities
using the leaflets and guide books on the shelves. There is a also cupboard with games and jigsaws
for those so inclined. This room is also where you will be greeted with cake and a beverage on
arrival and where a hearty
Aga cooked breakfast is served in the mornings. The home made bread
and jams are a real treat.
As with the holiday cottage guests are free to use the external facilities and for those who may arrive by bicycle secure storage can be arranged over night as required. Evening meals are available in all three local pubs, the closest is within walking distance. and Kirkby Stephen with its fish & chip shops, pubs etc is only five miles away.
'The loft' is pictured above with its comfortable double bed, window seat and view. The top picture shows the quiet lounge where guests can relax in the evening and where breakfast is served in the morning. There is a fireplace in the quiet lounge. The en-suite bathroom for 'the loft' has ample hot water for all.
